Qlekk

Privacy Policy

Effective: 16 October 2026

1. Privacy approach

Qlekk Connect is designed around temporary personal communication and data minimization.

2. Account information

Qlekk processes information required to create and secure your account, such as your Qlekk identity, display information, email address, account state and security-related records.

3. Personal messages and attachments

Personal text messages, recorded voice messages sent through chats, supported images and supported documents are processed for delivery and stored temporarily in encrypted form at rest. Plaintext message bodies are not written to the encrypted message store on disk. Voice messages are deliberately recorded and sent by the sender; they are separate from live voice and video calls.

Unread personal messages currently expire after a maximum of 7 days. After the recipient opens the conversation and the message is marked read, the current default expiry period is 300 seconds (5 minutes).

4. Voice and video calls

Qlekk Connect does not record live personal voice or video calls or create call transcripts. Short-lived technical signaling is used to establish and operate calls. Recorded voice messages that users choose to send in chats are handled separately as temporary message content, as described in Section 3.

5. Sessions and security information

Qlekk processes session, login, password-reset and related security information to authenticate users, manage devices, prevent abuse and protect accounts. Some security and state-history records are maintained for limited operational periods.

6. Push notifications

If you enable notifications, Qlekk processes technical push-subscription information and notification tokens required to deliver notifications to your browser or installed app. Where supported, these may include native push and VoIP notification tokens associated with your account or app installation. Registrations may be updated, become inactive or be revoked as part of account and session management.

7. Passwords and session tokens

Security-sensitive credentials are handled using protected mechanisms. Raw session tokens are not intended to be persisted in push-subscription records, and password-reset flows use time-limited security controls.

8. Data used for operation

Qlekk may process limited technical information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service. Qlekk is designed not to retain personal message bodies, attachments or call payloads in operational rate-limiting memory.

9. No call recordings or transcripts

Qlekk Connect does not currently create personal call recordings or transcripts. If this product behavior changes in the future, the privacy information must be updated before such functionality is represented to users.

10. Account deactivation and deletion

Qlekk Connect provides self-service account deactivation and permanent account deletion through email-confirmed processes. Users can request permanent account deletion and confirm the request using a verification link sent to their account email. Upon confirmation, Qlekk processes the deletion of the personal account, revokes associated sessions, and removes associated personal communication data in accordance with its deletion procedures. Certain security, audit, or legally required records may be retained for limited periods where necessary and permitted by applicable law.

11. Future translation features

Automatic translation is not covered by the current service behavior. If translation is introduced and message content must be processed by an additional translation system, this Privacy Policy will be updated before that feature is released.

12. Policy updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Qlekk Connect adds or changes material data-processing features. The effective date shown above identifies this version.

13. Ownership, operation and development

Qlekk is owned, operated, and developed by NWAYC. Contact: info@qlekk.com.
